The first woman to set foot on the moon, stay 7 days

And only a few years of waiting. Then the first woman to walk on the moon. 55 years after the first landing on the moon, in 2024, two people will walk on the moon again. A woman and an astronaut will step on the south pole of the moon.

Jim Bridenstein, chief administrator of the US space agency NASA, made the official announcement on Monday. In 1979, the first traces of civilization fell on the moon. Three American astronauts walked.

After taking a couple of steps, Neil Armstrong said from the floor of the moon that this small step of a human being is a great step forward for all human civilization.

According to Bridenstein, 55 years ago, people like Neil Armstrong, Michael Collins and Edwin Aldrin will not be on the moon for a very short time. This time, the two astronauts will walk on the moon for seven days in a row, collecting pebbles and conducting various types of research.

And a decade from now, urgent preliminary research and preparation for human entry into the red planet Mars will begin shortly after this time on the lunar surface. Then the two astronauts will return to earth by pressing the spacecraft.

NASA did not say which two astronauts were chosen to enter the moon. Only the first phase of its upcoming lunar mission ‘Artemis Mission’ has been announced.

Armstrong took three days to get from Earth to the Moon. Technology has come a long way. So this time you can hit the ground on the moon in two and a half days.

“We have received full approval from both houses of Congress for our next Artemis mission,” said Bridenstein, NASA executive director. The moon returns to America in this 21st century.

“This time we go to the Moon with a lot of scientific discoveries, with the aim of obtaining their economic benefits on Earth,” he said. In this way, we also want to inspire the next generation. I want to speed up all the experiments and research on the moon, which is necessary for the first man to enter the red planet. ‘

According to NASA, construction of the very powerful ‘Space Launch System’ (SLS) and the ‘Orion’ spacecraft is nearing completion for the second time in 55 years. Work on testing the four Orion engines is also in the final stages. The engines will have a ‘hot litmus test’ next month.

The “core stage” of the Orion spacecraft will be shipped to NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida shortly after the litmus test. It will be attached to the main part of the spaceship.

SLS and Orion will be sent simultaneously to orbit the moon experimentally. Whether the life support system for astronauts works properly will also be one of the objectives of these experiments.

This is the first step in Artemis’s mission. ‘Artemis-1’ will be sent into lunar orbit next year. There will be no astronauts on that mission. Two years later, in 2023, it will be the mission ‘Artemis-2’. There will be an astronaut in the spaceship. However, it will not get out of the spaceship.

According to Bridenstein, an astronaut pilot will operate the Orion spacecraft after it separates from the SLS rocket in lunar orbit during the Artemis-2 mission.

The next Artemis-3 mission will be a moon landing experiment from the Orion spacecraft. In preparation for these experiments, NASA will begin sending the necessary equipment to the spacecraft in lunar orbit twice a year starting in 2021.

And starting with the Artemis-4 mission, NASA will build a permanent abode in lunar orbit. Like the current International Space Station. However, the International Space Station is only 360 kilometers above the earth. And that abode of Artemis will be in the orbit of the moon which is more than two and a half lakh kilometers away. That will be NASA’s “base camp” on the Moon.
