Two killers of university student Sohag arrested in Uttara
Mahbub Islam aka Cutter Russell and Heart. Age between 20 to 22 years. In the Uttara area they formed multiple gangs of teenagers. The RAB arrested them on Monday. The RAB-1 commander, Lieutenant Colonel Shafi Ullah Bulbul, made the remarks at a press conference held at the RAB media center in Kawran Bazar on Tuesday.
It is worth mentioning that Sohag was stabbed to death on August 28 at around 8:30 p.m. The following day, his older brother Mehedi Hasan Sagar filed a case with the Uttar Khan Police Station. Mahbubul Islam Russell aka Katar Russell, Hridoy, Saad, Sabbir Hossain and Sunny were named in the case and four or five other unidentified people were named as defendants. After that, the RAB began to monitor his arrest.
Shafi Ullah Bulbul said that Katar Russell was leading a group called ‘The Boss’ in the Uttara area. She has formed a team of 10 to 12 people to dominate the area. The locals avoided them for their behavior. And they thought they were powerful.
The RAB official further said that on the day the college student was stabbed to death, dirty water entered his body from the rickshaw wheel. He was beating the rickshaw shooter for this. At the time, the university student Sohag was riding in a rickshaw. Sohag protested the beating of the rickshaw shooter over common problems. In a fit of rage, Russell called his group Nadeem, Sunny, Mehdi, Saad, and Sabbir, hit Sohag, and stabbed him in the stomach. When the locals rescued Sohag and took him to hospital, the doctor on duty declared him dead.
The RAB-1 captain said that after the incident, Russell and Hridoy went into hiding on their own and helped other team members into hiding. Hridoy and Russell also plan to leave the country to escape the police. Cutter Russell and heart are extremely sharp. They were watching various television series on foreign crimes and using various tactics to avoid arrest by the police. They even refrained from using mobile or other technology. Furthermore, they repeatedly changed places in different parts of the country. As a result, the RAB intelligence members must obtain a lot of speed to catch them. They even had to use manual methods to make arrests. They were finally able to arrest them. At that time, eight rounds of ammunition were recovered, including two foreign pistols.
When asked by journalists how the detainees collected foreign pistols, RAB commander Shafi Ullah Bulbul said the matter was under investigation. A large terrorist group is believed to have provided them with these weapons. I’ll be able to find out by questioning the detainees very soon.
