Yemen’s Huthi Ansarullah militia has carried out a drone strike on a military base at an international airport in Saudi Arabia. The attacker struck shortly after noon in front of a police recruitment center in the Asir province of southwestern Saudi Arabia.
A spokesman for the Yemeni army, Brigadier General Yahya Sari, made the announcement on Thursday. He said the attack was carried out with a Samad-3 drone made with Yemen’s own technology.
He said that several drones sent from Yemen attacked the Abha International Airport in Asir province.
General Sariyi said that Yemeni drones hit important targets at Abaha airport with precision. The attacker struck shortly after noon in front of a Saudi military base.
General Sarii added that as long as Saudi Arabia and its allies continue to attack Yemen, the Yemeni army will carry out such counterattacks on Saudi territory.
Earlier, on September 9, the Yemeni army launched a Samad-3 drone strike in a sensitive area of the same airport. Purse today
