Police arrested 48-year-old Imtiaz Ahmed Bulbul, president of the Swechchhasebak League of District 7, for failing to commit suicide when Morzina Begum, a notorious trader in the Ghoragachhar area of Natore, committed suicide. Also, stories are coming out of Morzina’s various misdeeds.
According to the locals, the whole family has had an interesting business for more than two decades. Morzina, her sister Hasina, and her brother Saddam Hussein took advantage of the danger to lower and middle class family members and paid high interest rates. Without paying interest, Morzina would fight and torture her terrorist forces. According to the locals, Morzina has occupied three houses in this way. Many people have been forced to sell their houses due to the pursuit of interest dealer Morzina. Many are fleeing their homes.
The locals have demanded the arrest and exemplary punishment of the interest traders, including Morzina Begum, who participated in the incitement to the suicide of Bulbul.
According to locals and family sources, the wife of Hossain Ali from the suburban Ghoragachha village inquired about Rs 20,000 from the notorious usurper Morzina Begum. She paid about three lakh rupees, including interest. Even then he was being tortured demanding two lakh rupees.
Last Saturday around 10 p.m., the interest merchant Morzina called him from his home and took him away. After that, he undressed and beat her, wrote two blank checks for two lakh rupees, and signed the video. Imtiaz Ahmed Bulbul, a shopkeeper and leader of the Volunteer League in the Ghoragachha Amhati area of the city, tried to commit suicide by consuming gas tablets on Sunday morning because he could not bear the pressure of interest money.
Neighbors rescued him and took him to Natore Adhunik Sadar Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries after being taken to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital. After the autopsy, the body of the leader of the Swechchhasebak League was brought to Natore and buried in the Garikhana cemetery.
