Zinnia (9), a florist from the TSC area of Dhaka University, was kidnapped after being eaten and taken away. The Ramna Detective Division of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested a man named Nur Nazma Akter Lopa Talukder (42) in the incident.
Lopa Talukder, the kidnapper, was arrested after conducting a raid in the Amtala area of Narayanganj District Fatulla Police Station at 1:10 pm on Monday.

Said victim Zinnia used to sell flowers at DU’s TSC facility. She used to live at TSC with her mother Senua Begum since childhood. Zinnia’s mother filed a General Journal (GD) at Shahbagh Police Station on September 2 (Wednesday) about Zinnia’s disappearance.
According to the general newspaper, the Ramna Detective Division launched a shadow investigation. Preliminary investigation and eyewitness testimony revealed that the two women ate the victim and carried her through the TSC area and then took her away.
A kidnapping case was filed at the Shahbagh Police Station on September 8 (Monday). The case was investigated by the Ramna Zone Team of the Ramna Detective Division. With the help of information technology, Ramna’s area team carried out an operation in the Amtala area of the Fatulla police station in Narayanganj and rescued the victim Zinnia. Lopa Talukdar was also arrested at the time.
Regarding the information obtained during the preliminary interrogation, he said that the detainee Lopa Talukdar kidnapped Zinnia showing various malicious temptations.
