India has banned 118 more Chinese apps, including Pubji. The country’s central information technology ministry issued the order on Wednesday.

According to the Hindustan Times, the Modi government also banned the apps amid renewed tensions between China and India near Lake Pangong. These apps are prohibited by Section 69 of the Information Technology Act.

The Indian government believes that this measure will protect the interests of millions of Internet and mobile users in India.

Previously, on June 29, India banned 59 Chinese apps, including TickTock and ShareIt, after Chinese forces killed at least 20 Indian soldiers in Ladakh.
