The detainees are Roman Bepari (20) from the Targaon area of Kapasia upazila, Jobayer Bepari (21) from the same area, Mostarin Sardar (21), Sahabul Hossain Shakib (22), Masum Sheikh (21) from the Rakal area Boal Tech from the same upazila and Rakib Hossain (20). ) And Mahfuzul Haque (20).
Kapasia Police Station Inspector (Investigation) Afzal Hossain said that a housewife from Manohardi Police Station in Narsingdi district met Sakhawat Hossain in Charkham area of upazila on her mobile phone about four months. Her husband is an expat from Qatar. A love story developed between them based on their identity. On December 16, the housewife came to visit her father’s house in Kapasia, Gazipur. Sakhawat called the expat’s wife from their home in the afternoon and raped her in nearby Nordarteke (a high spot in the middle of the bill) saying he would give her a mobile phone on Thursday. Sakhawat’s other friends saw the matter. When they arrived at the scene, the raped woman tried to flee. At that time, the young men detained her and took turns raping until around 8 pm. Later, the young men arrested the housewife and demanded a ransom of 50,000 taka from her mother and threatened to kill her. They also give a development number to pay the ransom money. After informing the police, the victim’s mother filed a complaint with the police. Police confirm the location by tracking the bKash number using information technology. The victim was rescued from the scene and the accused Sahabul Hossain was arrested. Subsequently, based on his information, another six people were arrested in different places on Friday.
Inspector (investigation) Afzal Hossain further said that the alleged Sakhawat boyfriend could not be arrested. The detainees were sent to jail through court this afternoon.
