WWE Superstars reached out to report AEW on work

AEW and WWE have been competing since previously debuting their show on Wednesday night. Cody’s AEW has made waves by leaving independent wrestlers on the show. AEW has also signed many former WWE stars and allowed them to showcase their talent in the ring.

WWE Superstars contact AEW for deals

On the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer stated that “virtually everyone” on the WWE roster contacted AEW at one time or another to wrestle with the promotion. The report comes after Chris Jericho named five WWE Superstars he would like to see in AEW. The five wrestlers who called the AEW Demo God were Ricochet, Roman Reigns, Kota Ibushi, Will Ospreay, and Don Callis.

Speaking of the names of WWE Superstars and Roman Reigns who may have come to AEW, Meltzer said;

“Roman Reigns will not go to AEW, will not happen. Virtually everyone in WWE, including guys who have claimed otherwise, have at some point called people in AEW to try what they can get, or are interested in. But Roman Reigns, and there are a few others, but Roman Reigns was, in principle, of the top boys, he was the only one who never asked. That he is going nowhere. ‘

AEW is growing at a rapid pace, and it looks like everyone wants to make their name on Tony Khan’s promotion. AEW Dynamite and WWE NXT go head to head on Wednesday. The promotion of Cody and Khan has won the War of Appreciation on many occasions. They have even established a key demographic and do not miss an opportunity to practice on it.

Many former WWE Superstars who were released from their contracts in April have shown up at rival WWE promotions such as AEW and IMPACT! Wrestling. Even though WWE has been the market leader in Pro-Wrestling for the past 20+ years, its prowess is being tested by the upcoming Elite promotion.

Former WWE Superstars like Chris Jericho, Matt Hardy, and Shawn Spears jumped ship a long time ago. One of AEW’s last recruits was Matt Cardona, known in the WWE as Zack Ryder.
