We still have all the important questions after Sony’s PlayStation 5 showcase

On Wednesday, Sony hosted a PlayStation 5 showcase. Livestream showed some new games, some first time. He also revealed how much the two versions of PlayStation 5 will cost and when they will be released.

But since fans are excited about Sony’s new information, the company may have answered more questions than it did. One of the clearest was, “When can people pre-order a console?” Unfortunately, this question turned into a dream of information with all sorts of different reports floating around; Retailers began accepting some pre-orders on Wednesday evening, and soon, the whole process went into chaos.

Aside from the pre-order Shannigans, here are all the big questions that Sony has left unanswered after the PlayStation 5 showcase, and we’ve got all the information about them so far.

How does backwards compatibility work?

The compatibility behind PlayStation 5 has been an open question since it was announced. At one point fans were told that most of the top 100 PlayStation 4 games could be played on the PS4, but now it seems the number is growing. One of the reasons why messaging around this topic is getting so confusing is that even Sony is not quite sure about the answer.

Obviously, Sony has to test each game individually to see if it’s compatible with the PlayStation 5, so there’s really no way to predict whether a game will run until it’s tested. According to the article, the word that Sony has said on the subject, which came from PlayStation CEO Jim Ryan in the Washington Post, is that “% back%” is relevant behind the games that have been tested. But it is possible that we do not know which games will and will not play until they are released in Sony’s new hardware.

What happens to all the disc-based games I have if I buy a Digital PlayStation 5?

Closely related to the topic of backwards compatibility is the question of how Sony plans to let players’ games move to their new systems. If you own the game digitally, you may want to include it in a new console to download again. Meanwhile if you have a disk with a disk drive and a PS5, it should be easy too. But the place where those two meet – players with disc-based copies of games purchased on digital PS5s – is a bit confusing, and Sony has not offered and offered concrete solutions.

Sony quickly showed a preview of a service called PlayStation Plus Collection that will allow PlayStation Plus customers to play some of the popular PlayStation 4 games on their PlayStation 5. It’s quite possible that this disk-based surround service-based approach is confusing, but it’s not entirely clear if Sony’s solution to that problem is the same.

What if I buy a PS4 game that eventually comes out on the PS5?

While Sony has been quiet on the subject, it currently looks like this will be a one-of-a-kind situation. With some developers, such as CD Project Red Cyberpunk 2077, Has already offered Gastrated Next-Generation upgrades. Meanwhile, like other games Call of Duty: Black Ps Cold War Will offer a special (more expensive) bundle that gives players access to both current-gen and next-gen versions of the game.

Similar to the Xbox’s smart delivery feature, with an official physical mandate from Sony, you’ll probably have to check out each and every game to see how the current pay generation version will connect to the PlayStation 5.

Which PS5 games are also coming on PC?

This one is particularly confusing and requires a little extra understanding. During some of the original trailers running during the PlayStation 5 showcase, there was a black screen that made it clear that the games console was excluded, but it would also come on the PC. Unfortunately, this text seems to have changed in one way or another … incorrectly.

One of the games in question was Final Fantasy XVI. When the trailer took note of the PC version, a separate trailer was uploaded to the game’s YouTube Facial YouTube channel that did not include the PC version text. When asked for comment, Square Enix said it has no information on whether the game will be available on platforms other than the PlayStation. Something similar happened with the 5th trailer Demon spirits’ The remake, which initially included PC text, will only mysteriously disappear after that.

The good news is that we’re sure you’ll find the answers to most of these questions eventually. The bad news is, the PlayStation 5 is actually November. We can’t find out until it’s released on the 12th – or even in the case of special games.
