Warzone season 5 teaser shows the stadium was destroyed by a nuclear blast

Call of Duty: WarzoneThe new season has yet to be officially announced, but some previews are already making great promise. We have already seen the interior of the stadium, a nuclear explosion and a new train in the first round of teasers.

One of the first teasers came through Streamer and YouTuber Nickmercs, who showed a very short video during a live broadcast. The clip is a grainy video of what appears to be the front of a train; a helicopter flies from the left front of the screen, then a train whistle blows in the background. While this preview doesn’t include much concrete information, it seems possible that it may indicate that Infinity Ward will add a train to the War zone map in the next season.

The following clip, which streamer Tyler Polchow played on the broadcast, shows a security video that appears to be from inside the stadium. Of course, most War zone Players will know that, from now on, there is no such thing as the interior of the stadium, as the giant arena has always been closed.

But an open arena is not the only advance in this clip, there is also a massive nuclear explosion. After the explosion goes off, the security camera turns off, leaving us with quite a few questions. The explosion could be a clue to a new feature that is coming to War zone – Similar to Modern Warfare 2The multiplayer nuclear bomb, or it could be a provocation of a map-altering event that destroys part of Verdansk.

If the map, or even just a few cities, were actually destroyed, it would represent the first real changes to the War zone map since the game was released earlier this year.

Both previews are marked with the date of August 5, which could be pointing to an in-game event for players to attend. Each clip also has a unique time signature with the train appearing to happen at 10:46 and the stadium clip happens at 11:05, although there is no way to determine what time zone the game is set to.
