Carrie, N.C. – The Wake County Public School System reported 80 new coronavirus cases this week, according to its coronavirus dashboard.
Reported board shows that more than half of the reported cases are in employees.

According to the dashboard, most of the cases are in various schools in the district. The state shows that no active clusters have been reported in the Wake County public school system.

“We are achieving our goal of reducing or minimizing the spread in the building when there is a positive case,” School Board Chairman Keith Sutton said Wednesday. “What we’re seeing is that we are still, with fingers crossed, able to keep teachers and students and educators safe in our buildings.”
