Fight Island, formerly known as Yas Island, in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, hosts another night of Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) action this Saturday night (July 15, 2020), which includes a fight for the flyweight title in featured attraction. . After losing weight the first time, Deiveson Figueiredo will look to make it 2-0 against Joseph Benavidez and gain some hardware in the process.
UFC Fight Island 2 viewers will also see Jack Hermansson take on Kelvin Gastelum as both men attempt to regain balance as middleweight contenders and Marc Diakiese attempt to continue their revival against the threat of Muay Thai tiger Rafael Fiziev.

What went wrong in the UFC on ESPN 13?
As a result, rough Octagon debutants occasionally lead to a major upgrade. Both Lerone Murphy and Taila Santos seemed far superior in their sophomore efforts, undoing the work done by Jack Shore’s dominant finish and Tim Elliott’s narrow victory. Lesson learned … at least until I forget.
UFC Fight Island 2 Odds for Under Card:
Roman Dolidze (-170) against Khadis Ibragimov (+150)
Grant Dawson (-255) vs. Nad Narimani (+215)
Joe Duffy (-345) vs. Joel Alvarez (+285)
Montel Jackson (-200) vs. Brett Johns (+170)
Amir Albazi (-165) vs. Malcolm Gordon (+135)
Arman Tsarukyan (-200) vs. Davi Ramos (+170)
Serghei Spivac (-160) vs. Carlos Felipe (+140)
Thoughts: Arman Tsarukyan is the star of a fairly loaded card.
Davi Ramos’ last fight saw him completely neutralized by Islam Makhachev, and while Tsarukyan’s octagon debut against Makhachev proved that he cannot match Dagestani in that department, he is a close second and a more versatile striker. Tsarukyan is more than capable of keeping him on his feet, where he is noticeably better than the Brazilian fighting ace. Trust Armenia to win big.
Parlaying Tsarukyan with Joe Duffy, the card’s biggest favorite, has positive odds. Seeing as “Irish” has a massive fighting advantage and enough fighting skills to get Alvarez’s running game out of the equation, which seems like a recipe for success from where I’m sitting.
On the riskier side, I like Amir Albazi about Malcolm Gordon. Although Gordon has a nasty pop in that right hand, he also tends to pay under pressure and appears to be the slightly weaker fighter of the two. Put it in with Montel Jackson, whose sizeable lead should pay dividends against Brett Johns.
UFC main card in Fight Island 2:
Deiveson Figueiredo (-210) against Joseph Benavidez (+175)
Jack Hermansson (-110) vs. Kelvin Gastelum (-110)
Marc Diakiese (-155) against Rafael Fiziev (+135)
Ariane Lipski (-120) against Luana Carolina (EVEN)
Alexandre Pantoja (-200) vs. Askar Askarov (+170)
Thoughts: I honestly don’t see much here. Part of me wants to put some money into Fiziev because he is one of the scariest strikers in the lightweight division, but Marc Diakiese’s massive improvements and dangerous fighting skills make it too risky for my liking. It is probably best to leave this lot alone.
UFC Fight Island 2 Best Bets:
- Parlay – Arman Tsarukyan and Joe Duffy: Bet $ 88 to win $ 80
- Parlay – Amir Albazi and Montel Jackson: Bet $ 40 to win $ 56.40
After two solid events, we can safely expect more “Fight Island” fireworks tomorrow. See you later, maniacs.
