Trump tweeted prior to the interview that Harris received a ‘free pass’ from the media before criticizing her tone on Biden during the Democratic presidential primary.

“There was no one leaner than more inclined for Slow Joe, not even me, and yet they evaporated rapidly to almost zero in the interviews. Bad!” Trump tweeted.

The president also weighed in on two of the country’s most prominent Democratic lawmakers during his interview with Fox Business. He directed Ocasio-Cortez to a lengthy riff over his opposition to the Green New Deal she has won.

“AOC was a poor student. I will not say where she went to school, it does not matter,” Trump said. “This is not even a smart person, other than that she has a good line. I mean, she goes out and she grabs. These guys, they’re all scared of her.”

Ocasio-Cortez, who graduated cum laude from Boston University in 2011, strike back by Trump on Twitter.

“Let’s make a deal, Mr. President: You’re releasing your college transcript, I’ll release mine, and we’ll see who the better student was. Loser has to fund the Post Office,” she tweeted, with a wink to Trump’s opposition to funding from the U.S. Postal Service ahead of the November election, when more post-a-vote votes are expected due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The president also described Pelosi as “stone cold crazy.” The two have not spoken in months after acting several times in public.

Trump went into a tweet extra in personal terms to Brzezinski after he camped out the morning show review of his preferred cable news, “Fox & Friends.”

Brzezinski responded to MSNBC, shouting at Trump about his repeated clashes with women who are critical of him.

“What’s your thing with women?” Brzezinski said. “You really have a lot of problems with women, like you’re scared of them or something. I think this Kamala thing has completely put you off.”

The president’s broadsides against women on Thursday follow days of attacks by him and his allies on Harris in particular, but they also reflect a broader pattern he has shown dating back to his campaign for office.

In an “Access Hollywood” tape leaked during the 2016 campaign, Trump can be heard bragging about women girl without permission; he called then-Democratic nominee Hillary ClintonHillary Diane Rodham ClintonThe Hill’s Campaign Report: Biden, Harris Make First Public Appearance as Running Mates Trump Campaign Spox Rips GOP Congressman Rejects QAnon Conspiracy Biden Hits Back After Trump’s Attacks on Harris MORE a “nasty woman”; he has referred to earlier aide Omarosa Manigault NewmanOmarosa Onee Manigault NewmanPelosi Makes Fans Like Democrat Under Trump’s Skin The Memo: Impeachment’s Scars Cut Deep With Trump, Those Who Know Him Say Author of Anonymous ‘Resistance’ NYT Up-Ed to Publish Book MORE as a “dog”; and he has lately been trying to appeal to suburban women by calling them “housewives.”

The personal attacks on women also come less than three months before an election where female voters will play an important role in determining the outcome. Fifty-five percent of white female voters supported Trump in 2016, according to a CNN exit poll.

But a poll from Monmouth University earlier this week found that Biden Trump leads among women, 61 percent to 32 percent.

The president’s advisers have rejected the idea that attacks on Harris should be borderline because of their gender.

“Someone who wants to be Vice President of the United States as President of the United States, regardless of their gender, whether they are male or female, they should be able to answer the difficult questions without saying, ‘Oh no, you can not talk about women in a certain way, ” White House adviser Kellyanne ConwayKellyanne Elizabeth ConwayTrump and allies wrestle with how to target Harris Conway: Harris will have to respond to persecution over marijuana in California Webb: Lincoln versus Lincoln Project MORE told reporters on Wednesday, noting the president’s female advisers have often been subjected to personal attacks.

Ronna Romney McDaniel, chairwoman of the Republican National Committee, at the same time rejected the idea that Trump became racist or sexist with his attacks on Harris, claiming that his policies on criminal law reform and the economy “speak for themselves.”
