Even though people used to spend about 40 minutes inside the store per trip, many are now using the time to shop online at home and away from others to shop online. When there is no evidence that the virus has spread through food or surfaces, it travels through the air. So living in an enclosed space for extended periods of time is still dangerous.
With no carts for disinfection, arrows to follow, or social distances to keep in mind, coronavirus epidemics are gaining more popularity in times of shopline shopping through virtual isles.
Walmart now accepts grocery orders via email. Target Gro offers curbside pickups for online grocery orders. Whole Foods recently announced the opening of a full-fledged grocery grocery store in Brooklyn, New York. The sole purpose of the location is to serve virtual orders, so no one will be able to come in and browse.
