The Cowboys and first-round pick CeeDee Lamb have agreed to the terms of their rookie contract.
Terms were not disclosed. According to the NFL Network, it is a four-year deal worth approximately $ 14 million along with a fifth-year option.
Lamb, Oklahoma’s 17th overall pick, was the Cowboys’ sixth-ranked player in the draft in late April. He will team up with pro player Bowler Amari Cooper and wide receiver Michael Gallup to form one of the league’s most talented receiver trios.
Lamb recorded consecutive 1,000-yard seasons and 32 total touchdowns in three years in Oklahoma’s high-octane offense. It was an All-American consensus last year, helping the Sooners make it to the college football playoff.
The receiver was a preliminary necessity with Randall Cobb addressing the Houston Texans in free agency. Lamb can play all four catcher positions and set an OU record with 24 career sacks of at least 40 yards. He could also return punts for the Cowboys.
Earlier this week, the Cowboys agreed terms with fourth-round cornerback Reggie Robinson, fifth-round defensive end Bradlee Anae and seventh-round quarterback Ben DiNucci. The rookies reported to training camp on Tuesday for their first COVID-19 test, the first step for league players before they can re-enter team facilities and begin practice.
