The International Space Station, with a crew of five on board, is seen in this 10-second exhibit on Comet NEOWISE on Saturday, July 18, 2020 from Keys Gap, West Virginia.
The comet was discovered by POTThe NEOWISE Wide Field Infrared Recognition Explorer for Near-Earth Objects on March 27. Since then, the comet, called Comet C / 2020 F3 NEOWISE and nicknamed Comet NEOWISE, has been discovered by several NASA spacecraft, including the Parker solar probe, NASA’s Solar and Earth Relations Observatory, the Solar Observatory and ESA / NASA Heliosphere and astronauts aboard the International Space Station.
Aboard the International Space Station are NASA Expedition 63 astronauts Chris Cassidy, Douglas Hurley, Robert Behnken and Roscosmos cosmonauts Anatoly Ivanishin and Ivan Vagner.
