This week on WWE Monday Night Raw, Stephanie McMahon seemed to tackle the situation with the Raw Women’s Championship.
McMahon said that next week there will be a game to determine who is the legitimate champion. It will be Asuka vs. Sasha Banks next week and the game may also end with a disqualification and a count, meaning Bayley will have to stay out of the game or risk costing her best friend the title.
As noted on Wrestling Observer Radio, the reason they are having a rematch is that Vince McMahon wants bigger games on Raw to boost ratings. The original plan was for Asuka to retain the title on Extreme Rules, but that changed a few hours before the show aired.
