12:27 p.m. – Atlanta PDA told TMZ … The cops responded to the call of the injured man at 1:45 a.m. Saturday. Byrd was presumed to be unresponsive, and emergency medical personnel pronounced him dead in the back of a multiple-gun shotgun.

Thomas Jefferson Bird – which appeared many Spike Lee Joints – have been murdered in Atlanta … according to Spike himself.
Lee says … “I am deeply saddened to announce the tragic murder of our beloved brother Thomas Jefferson Byrd last night in Atlanta, Georgia.” Spike shared a photo of Thomas as Errol Barnes in his 1995 film “Clockers”.
“With Clockers,” Byrd also appeared in “Get on the Bus,” “Bamboozled,” “He’s Got Game,” “Red Hook Summer,” “Chi-Ruck,” and more.
He was also a successful theater actor, nominated for Best Actor at Broadway’s 2003 Tony Awards for his revival of August Wilson’s “Mae Rainy Black Bottom”.
