Snoop dogg and DMX He brought some much-needed nostalgia in the 90s to the horror show that is 2020 with a couple of hours of sick rap battles that became an instant classic.
The rappers came face to face on Wednesday night in the last battle of Verzuz that drew an astonishing 500,000 viewers on Instagram Live. Going back to Snoop and X … the rappers complimented themselves as they spit out some of their most iconic tracks, such as when DMX got on and joined Snoop for “Ain’t No Fun”. Snoop also came down with “Drop It Like It’s Hot” and “Gin and Juice”, while DMX spit “Where My Dogs At” and “X Gon ‘Give It To Ya”, which knocked Snoop out of his seat.
They also literally complemented each other. Snoop, wearing some children’s pajamas, told DMX: “New York has always been a mecca for rap on the west coast.” This prompted DMX to respond, “Something I love about you, Snoop, is that we can always count on you to kick some gangsta s ** t.”
