Smash Bros. patches Minecraft Steve’s flesh at the end of the match

Introducing Minecraft Steve Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Got a lot of fanfare, and it wasn’t entirely due to the unprecedented inclusion in the party fighting game. Fans soon learned that Steven’s final match-winning screening caught him a piece of meat, which, if paused at the exact moment, felt like an NSFW pose.

Well, now it’s gone. Fans who have recently downloaded Smash Bros. Find out the patch. Steve now eats a pot of meat and then when the camera zooms in, nothing leaves the holding, as you can see in this clip via Twitter user Plan_U.

Nintendo hasn’t updated Smash Brothers to give the animation a tweak, of course. Version 9.0.1, now available for download, contains a variety of Steve-related bug fixes. Many of these changes relate to Blocky Fighter’s previous Winky Minicart moves. Curiously, however, the official patch notes do not mention any changes regarding Steve’s meat.

Yes, people are sad. But all of this attention-grabbing detail meant that Nintendo probably couldn’t ignore it.
