“We are continuing the series of experiments we did with the new #alcooltest model of the traffic police team. In this episode, I review a myth that has been common lately, especially in the context of the early COVID 19 coronavirus pandemic. 2020, that is, if alcohol comes out in expired air, after you have #disinfected your hands with alcohol.
To do the test under the same conditions, I simulated a traffic stop by the traffic police, I disinfected myself with alcohol on my hands, but also the documents, and then I blew the test from the breathalyzer. The result is surprising. This is a campaign against driving under the influence that belongs to me and that does not represent an official point of view ”, wrote Perțea along with the video published on her YouTube channel, writes Libertatea.
To perform the test, the police officer performed both passive tests, blowing towards the device, and active tests, actually blowing the breathalyzer test. And the result was surprising: 0.26 mg / liter of pure alcohol in expired air.
Disinfection with alcohol and chlorine is recommended in the authorities’ communications. It is specified that in addition to soap, medical alcohol should be used to wash hands. It should be noted that it is 70 degrees, while alcoholic beverages, for the most part (for example, vodka is between 37 and 40 degrees).
A blood alcohol level of 0.10 mg / l means that a person has 1 part of pure alcohol for every 10,000 parts of blood.
