Worrying situation at the construction site of the A3 Transylvania motorway. The constructor is practically non-existent

[ad_1]

The Pro Infrastructure Association draws attention to the extremely worrying situation, at the construction site of the A3 Transilvania highway, in the Cheţani and Câmpia Turzii segments. Subcontractors have left or are about to leave because they are not being paid.

According to Pro Infrastructure, the builder, Straco, is almost non-existent and the subcontractors left the site because they were not paid. Therefore, the only sub-builder present is Marcotim, which deals with embankments. However, due to Straco’s lack of materials and defaults, they will most likely leave the site as well.

If no payments are made, the site will remain open and the embankments completed by Marcotim, in an area of 4-5 km, will suffer degradation during the winter.

Those of the Pro Infrastructure Association: We urgently request CNAIR to mobilize the Contractor for this work and to introduce the possibility of direct payment to the subcontractors who carry the work load. Otherwise, in a few weeks we will have a completely abandoned construction site and local businesses on the brink of bankruptcy.
