Noah Green graduated from Christopher Newport University in Newport News, Virginia, in 2019 with a degree in finance. He also had a registered Virginia driver’s license.
The young man claimed that the government wanted to control his mind
A few weeks before the attack, the young man of color wrote on social media that he had lost his job, that he was suffering and that the federal government wanted to “control his mind.”
Less than two hours before he was shot and killed, Noah Green posted on Instagram, on an account that appears to belong to him, several links to videos featuring Louis Farrakhan, a controversial American clergyman and activist, the leader of the Nation of Islam. “The United States government is enemy number one of people of color,” the clergyman said in a Noah Green post.
In another post, Green wrote last week that he believes Farrakhan saved him after “the terrible suffering probably caused him by the CIA, the FBI, the government agencies of the United States of America.” Responding to a comment on that post, Green claims that he was the victim of several robberies, that his food was poisoned, that he was subjected to assaults, unauthorized operations at the hospital and actions to control his mind.
Also on Facebook, Green wrote that he was unknowingly high and is now suffering the effects.
He found the “Messiah”
In another Facebook post on March 17, the young man wrote that he believed Farrakhan was “Jesus the Messiah” and that the religious leader played a key role in “his awakening” and that he considered him his spiritual father.
“To be honest, the last few years have been hard and the last months even more. I was subjected to some of the biggest, unimaginable tests of my life,” the young man also wrote on social networks. He also wrote that he left his job partly due to suffering, but especially because he was looking for a “spiritual journey.”
Another post shows that he made a donation of $ 1,085 to Farrakhan, and another video taken from the clergyman is a speech he gave in 1996 titled “The Divine Destruction of America.”
“The preacher is here to save me and the rest of humanity, even if it means facing death,” Green wrote, apparently referring to Farrakhan. “Prepare to deny your being and follow him, raise your cross,” urges the young man.
Both the Instagram and Facebook accounts, which appeared to belong to him, were shut down on Friday after the Capitol incident, CNN notes.
The TV channel claims that he tried to contact Louis Farrakhan for comment on all this, but the steps were to no avail.
