The towns of Otopeni, Mogoșoaia, Corbeanca, Dobroești, Măgurele and Popești-Leordeni in Ilfov County could be quarantined on Saturday night, starting at 22:00.
On Friday, DSP Ilfov also officially requested the quarantine of the towns of Otopeni, Corbeanca, Mogoșoaia, Măgurele, Popești Leordeni and Dobroiești. To enter into force, the measure must be approved by the INSP, the Regional Committee and then by the Department of Emergency Situations.
The CJSU meeting took place on Friday evening and the zonal quarantine proposal was presented, the prefect of Ilfov announced on Saturday morning. However, the situation is more complicated in Otopeni, because the city is crossed by DN1 and includes the largest airport in the country, so the quarantine measures cannot be identical to those of other localities.
“In Otopeni, a verification procedure will be established so as not to block traffic on DN1. Verification will be ensured at the entrances of the side streets in and from Otopeni”, Ilfov County Prefect Daniel Zamfir told ProTV Morning News.
If approved, the quarantine in the city of Otopeni could go into effect on Saturday night.
