Meteorologists issued a snow, sleet and high wind advisory Thursday, which takes effect at noon on Friday.
The NMA information is valid from Friday at 12:00 to Saturday at 17:00.
During this period, there will be snow in the mountains, mixed rains in low relief areas and intensification of the wind.
According to ANM, the rainfall area will cover most of the country, starting with the northwestern regions, and the amounts of water will exceed 15-20 l / m2 in restricted areas.
In all mountain areas, snow will gradually predominate and a layer of snow will be deposited, possibly more consistent in the Southern Carpathians.
Precipitation in the form of sleet and snow will also be recorded in Transylvania and locally in the mountainous areas of Moldova, Muntenia and Oltenia.
The wind will intensify in most regions, in general, with speeds of 40 – 50 km / h, and in the mountains, especially in the high zone, the gusts will temporarily exceed 60 – 70 km / h, blowing snow.
At the end of the week the weather will turn cold for this date, with negative minimum temperatures in all regions, according to ANM.
Special forecast for Bucharest: two days with rain, wind and cold in the capital
On Thursday, the National Meteorological Administration issued a special forecast for Bucharest, valid on Friday and Saturday. Light rain, wind and cold are forecast.
The maximum temperature will be between 9 and 10 degrees and the minimum will be around 4 degrees.
From Saturday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., the weather will be cold. The sky will be more cloudy and it will rain temporarily. The wind will generally be moderate. The maximum temperature will be 5-6 degrees.
