In Romania, since the start of the pandemic until now, 267,088 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus have been confirmed.
186,260 patients were declared cured.
More than 8,600 new cases
After the tests carried out at the national level, compared to the last report, there were 8,651 new cases of people infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (COVID – 19), these being cases that have not previously had a positive test.
Aside from newly confirmed cases, after retesting patients who were already positive, 1,916 people were positively reconfirmed.
Bucharest has exceeded the infection rate of 4 per thousand
The coefficient of accumulated infections at 14 days, reported per 1,000 inhabitants, calculated by DSP for the Capital is 4.24. Alba, Bihor and Sibiu counties also have a ratio higher than 4 per thousand. But there are three counties, Cluj, Salaj and Timis, with an infection rate of more than 5 per thousand.
Additionally, four other counties are on the red stage, with an incidence of more than 4 per thousand.
Death registration, 24 hours
According to data provided by the Strategic Communication Group, to date, 7,419 people diagnosed with the SARS-CoV-2 infection have died.

138 of the deaths registered were of some patients who presented comorbidities, four deceased patients did not present comorbidities and for four deceased patients, no comorbidities have been reported so far.
More than 1,000 patients in ATI
In specialized health units, the total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is 11,867. Of these, 1,001 are hospitalized in ATI.
To date, 3,341,867 tests have been processed across the country. Of these, 35,964 were performed in the last 24 hours, 21,808 according to the case definition and medical protocol and 14,156 upon request.
Likewise, since the last information made by GCS, the results of 594 tests processed before the last 24 hours and transmitted until November 4 have been reported.
In Romanian territory, 33,630 people confirmed with the infection by the new coronavirus are isolated at home, and 11,373 people are in institutionalized isolation. In addition, 59,339 people are quarantined at home, and 18 people are in institutionalized quarantine.
More than 3,000 calls to 112
In the last 24 hours, 3,410 calls to the single emergency number 112 and 1,265 of the TELVERDE line (0800 800 358), open especially to inform citizens.
As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law No. 55/2020 on some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, police and gendarmes have applied in the last 24 hours 7,062 of misconduct sanctions, which amounts to 930,022 lei.
Likewise, through the competent structures of the Police, 5 crimes were found yesterday to frustrate the fight against diseases, the deed provided for and sanctioned by art. 352 Penal Code.
We remind the public that the Ministry of the Interior has put into operation, as of 04/07/2020, a TELVERDE line (0800800165) where infractions to sanitary protection regulations can be notified.
The calls are answered by a dispatcher, in an integrated system, and distributed to the territorial structures for the verification of the notified aspects.
The situation of Romanians abroad
Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other states, it was confirmed that 6,853 Romanian citizens were infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (coronavirus): 1,934 in Italy, 1,253 in Spain, 124 in France, 3,018 in Germany, 159 in Gran Britain, 36 in Hungary, 28 in the Netherlands, 2 in Namibia, 4 in the US, 123 in Austria, 22 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 8 in Switzerland, 3 in Turkey, 2 in Iceland, 2 in Belarus, 93 in Greece, 9 in Cyprus, 2 in India, 2 in Ukraine, 7 in the United Arab Emirates and one in Argentina,
Tunisia, Ireland, Luxembourg, Malta, Brazil, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Sweden, Republic of the Congo, Qatar, Vatican, Portugal and Egypt. Since the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic and so far, 126 Romanian citizens abroad, 31 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 11 in Spain, 14 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, one in Sweden, one in Switzerland, one in the United States, one in Brazil, one in the Republic of the Congo and one in Greece, they have died.
Among Romanian citizens confirmed with infection by the new coronavirus, 797 were declared cured: 677 in Germany, 90 in Greece, 18 in France, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Namibia, one in Luxembourg and one in Tunisia.
Coronavirus records in Romania
The highest number of daily cases to date was reported on November 3, 2020. No fewer than 7,733 new infections have been reported in 24 hours.
On October 23, the largest number of tests was carried out: 41,238, in 24 hours.
The highest number of deaths was recorded on November 3, 2020. Later, the authorities transmitted that 120 Romanians died from the coronavirus.
The highest number of patients admitted to the Intensive Care Units (974) was reported on November 3, 2020.
In the world, more than 47.9 million people have been confirmed with the new coronavirus. Another 1.2 million died from COVID-19.
Of the more than 12 million active cases, more than 88,000 patients are in serious condition.
The worst affected nations in the world are the United States, India and Brazil.
Romania ranks 30th in the world in terms of the number of infections, according to data centralized on the platform www.worldometers.info.
