He also specified that at one point, around 10% of the fines imposed nationally were from Argeş, although the purpose of the authorities was to educate the population. Although people were initially reluctant, they later complied with the measures, and after a month and a half the first results were seen, and Argeş remained below the threshold of 100 illnesses per day, a level that before the restrictive measures exceeded.
“We have taken progressive restrictive measures, we have verified it very seriously and we have started awareness-raising and education campaigns. The only measure that remained in force was the use of masks in open spaces. It is the only measure that saves our county, allows us to continue with our normal life, ”Emanuel Soare also said.
The Argeş County Prefect also mentioned that there are currently seven hospitals in the county that treat COVID patients and have places available, where patients from other counties also arrive.
“We can no longer afford to react, to wait to reach the indicators. We must react with preventive measures,” said the prefect of Argeş County.
