Secretary of State Raed Arafat declared this Friday, at the time of the entry of 10,000 doses of anti-COVID vaccine in Romania, that this is a historic moment, and that as of today, “we are working on two fronts.”
“We are witnessing a historic moment, which shows that the world has found a solution and we are beginning to apply it. All the EU countries together have managed not to disappoint EU citizens, “said Raed Arafat of Nădlac Customs 2.
“Just as a truck of vaccines arrived, so did all the EU countries. It was a huge effort, in which Romania also participated ”, added the head of DSU.
“It is a hope for us, it is the light at the end of the tunnel. This does not mean that the problem is solved, that we forget about the mandatory measures – spacing, mask, hand washing – it is only the beginning. Starting today we will work on two fronts: limiting the spread of SARS-CoV-2 and vaccination, ”said the Secretary of State.
“Starting the vaccination does not mean that the problem is solved, starting the vaccination does not mean that we relax, starting the vaccination does not mean that we remove the mask,” he added.
In turn, the military doctor Valeriu Gheorghiță, coordinator of the vaccination campaign in Romania, declared that vaccination “is the safest and shortest medical route to end the pandemic.”
“I am glad to see that there is so much interest in vaccination against COVID, I am glad that there is a debate on this topic. This forces us to ensure the start of the vaccination campaign. Vaccination is carried out safely, so that every citizen has access whenever they want, ”added the doctor.
