Initially it was decided to suspend the elections for printing new ballots, but this decision was reversed by resuming voting on wrong ballots, and after the arrival of the new, corrected ballots, they will be made available to those who have not yet voted.
Until the temporary suspension of the electoral process, 18 voters of the 2,767 registered in the permanent lists had appeared in the two polling stations of the commune of Costinesti.

The electoral process was suspended in the two polling stations of the Costinesti commune after voters discovered that the ballots were incorrectly printed, replacing the PNL logo with that of the Pro Romania party.
According to the incumbent mayor, Traian Cristea, who has not presented his candidacy for a new mandate, the members of the tables of the two electoral colleges of the commune declared that they noticed only after the beginning of the electoral process the error that appears only in the mayoral election ballots. Namely, the fact that the Pro Romania logo was printed next to the NLP candidate, even if the samples for the ballots were sent in advance, during the last week.
The deputy of the president of the Constanza County Electoral Office, Judge Gabriela Ghervase, stated, regarding this incident, that information was sent to the Central Electoral Office and clarifications are expected to resolve the situation, the ballots will be reprinted , approximately 2,700 copies.
The electoral process will resume after the new ballots arrive at the two polling stations in Schitu and Costinesti.
UPDATE 8:30 – Criminal case for impediment of the exercise of electoral rights in Argeș and lost ballots
Argeş police officers are conducting investigations to prevent the exercise of voting rights, following an incident at a medical office in the Bârla commune.
The images of the incident in the family doctor’s office, which occurred on Saturday night, were made public on a social network.
According to the first conclusions of the verifications, several people entered the family doctor’s office and acquired medical certificates that had to be delivered to the Electoral Bureau, in order to exercise the right to vote.
“Investigations into beatings and other violence are being carried out and the exercise of electoral rights is being impeded. (…) At the end of the investigations, the case will be referred to the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Court of Costeşti”, specified, for AGERPRES, the spokesperson for the Argeş County Police Inspectorate (IPJ), Deputy Commissioner Mădălina Epure.
According to the cited source, two notifications due to lack of ballots are also controlled, verified at the time of their receipt at the electoral offices of the district. In these cases, the County Elections Office was notified.
