The mayor of Sîngeorz-Băi claims that the video captures a family problem and that he has the right to discipline his children in any way he wants. Contacted by Bistriţa News, he stated:

Ogăgău also continued to react on his Facebook page, accusing PSDs of using the video to campaign.
