Terrible accident at the Iasi Rally. The well-known Italian driver Simone Tempestini lost control of the car and rolled over several times. Subsequently, the car caught fire.
TEmpestini and his co-driver were in the second round of the Iasi Rally. It was a 15.5 kilometer trip, during which, at one point, the pilot lost control when trying to brake to the limit.
The car went on stage, flipped over and caught fire.
Both Simone Tempestini and her co-pilot escaped unharmed. Neither needed medical attention.
The rally cars are very well insured and prepared for these types of incidents, so the safety of the participants is not endangered. Tempestini’s car was worth around 300,000 euros.
