Giulesti will not be able to count on five players, after the COVID-19 outbreak at the club. In addition to coach Adrian Iencsi, players Cătălin Hlistei, Rareș Ilie, Virgil Drăghia, Ștefan Pănoiu and Rareș Lazăr will be absent from Rapid camp today.

Spartac’s progress recently defeated Rapid II, in League 3, 2-0. Rapid’s first team dueled with Intrarea Vrabiei’s team two seasons ago, in League 3. Giuleşti’s side prevailed in their own field, but lost in return. That was the first failure suffered by Rapid under the command of Daniel Pancu and the only failure of the team in the entire season of Liga 3.

In the previous round, Progresul Spartac beat Popești Leordeni 1-0. Rapid will make his debut in the Romanian Cup on the occasion of this match.
