PSD president Marcel Ciolacu said on Saturday that a few days ago he signed with pro-Romania leader Victor Ponta “an agreement to create majorities in the provincial councils, local councils, a kind of post-election agreement.”
Ciolacu stated, on Saturday, at a press conference held in Pitesti, that it is “for the first time in 30 years when the decision was for each organization to make its own local alliances.”

The PSD National Political Council established, in Tuesday’s meeting, that the party will not form an alliance with any other political party in the December 6 parliamentary elections, Social Democratic sources told News.ro. Marcel Ciolacu declared that the PSD will not make alliances in parliament, and in the decision he considered the fact that the party is a political opponent of Pro Romania, ALDE and PPU-SL in local elections. He added that he argued with ALDE leader Călin Popescu Tăriceanu to get on the PSD lists, but he refused.
