Congressman George Simion, co-chair of AUR, announced Thursday that he will donate 90% of his parliamentary salary “to a civic cause, to special cases.”

“I want to make an announcement, an announcement that I did not make in the election campaign because it would have been misinterpreted. I am a Romanian Member of Parliament. I have not forgotten who I am, I have not forgotten what we have to do and that is why I announce to you, through this video, that I will donate 90% of my salary to a civic cause, to special cases, month by month. For 4 years I will make it public every month. They told me that we cannot “I do a lot of things here in Parliament, because we don’t have the force. I believe a lot in the power of example. I believe a lot in you and in our ability to mobilize, and that is why this is an example that I want to set. “Simion said in a video message sent on Facebook.

“The scoundrels will start with all kinds of issues, as they usually do. As I will live on them, next year I will write another book, I have the other books, I still have copies of them. I want to count on you when we get involved in a case, in the sense that I will ask you to support that case and that cause. Trust yourself. We did a lot together when we were on the streets, when we only had the power of our word. Now by his decision, we are in the Romanian Parliament and we must change Romania together, “added Simion.
