Prime Minister Florin Cîțu stated on Digi24 on Thursday that he has a very good relationship with NLP First Vice President Rareș Bogdan, whom Ludovic Orban said is a “snake” who “disappointed” him.
Is it true that Ludovic Orban promises government posts and you don’t accept? Florin Citu wondered.
“It is not true. I was not going to be able to promise positions in the Government (…) I was in BEx PNL and did not see these grievances. The PNL is a party that knows very well the moment Romania is going through, understands how important it is focus now on the vaccination period, on the pandemic. There are no people in NLP who put an appointment above or beyond. NLP people are aware, responsible, they know what the priorities of this moment are and the priorities of this Government and they support this Government ”, he replied.
When asked about his relationship with Rares Bogdan, Cîțu said:
“It’s a good relationship. I knew him beforehand from the press, I was in his programs before getting into politics. He is a man who contributed a lot to the electoral campaigns when he was ‘number one’. He brought a lot of NLP as an image. He is a politician that he also continued to be a journalist but he is a colleague with whom I get along very well ”.
On the fact that Ludovic Orban turned him into a “snake”, Cîțu avoided commenting: “If there was something in the last days that I think I did not see, it was focused on …”.
“Is Rares Bogdan a snake to Orban?” They asked him.
I cannot comment on the relationship between the two. I can only tell you about my relationship with Rares Bogdan. It is important to me that NLP remains consistent in the implementation of the government program, and NLP leaders are sure that everyone supports this Government. Both Rares Bogdan and Ludovic Orban know very well that the future of NLP also depends on the success of this government ”.
