Ionuț Stroe has announced that fans cannot return to the stadiums
The last match with spectators took place on March 8, at the match Fast – CSM Reșița, score 0-1. The arena at Regie was almost full in Daniel Pancu’s last game on the bench. Since then, the COVID-19 pandemic has kept stadiums closed.
The Minister of Youth and Sports, Ionuț Stroe, asks fans to be patient: “You see that the situation is getting worse and, unfortunately, in Romania we have broken record after record in terms of infections by the new coronavirus. Today we have had more than 3,500 cases, it is worrying.
I ask for patience, understanding and caution from the fans waiting to return to the stadiums! You can’t talk about it now. The crisis is so big and we have to manage it very carefully. We do not take into account the interruption of the championship, but you see that this also happened in the Czech Republic. “said Ionuț Stroe, for ProSport.
Currently, only League 1, League 2 and League 3 matches have been resumed in Romania, and amateur and youth competitions remain suspended. As for the stadiums, they remain closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
