A member of the USR dusts off his own party. This is Anca Goja, a member of the Maramureș subsidiary, who published a message from River on her Facebook account in which she spoke about the problems of this political party.
The “USR spirit” has not been found in USR Maramureş for a long time. The political party betrays every day the ideals for which thousands of Baia Mare inhabitants took to the streets to protest in 2017-2018. USR Maramureş is no longer a clean alternative to the old political class, as the party still claims, without foundation.
I joined USR Baia Mare in the spring of 2019, at the same time as I joined the only parliamentary cabinet in the county organization. I joined the party with great enthusiasm and the desire to contribute to the change of the Romanian political class. He had met some of the members during the street protests, some of whom he considered friends, although he did not know them very well. I took care of the external communication part and I did the best I could, ”Anca Goja thundered.
“Those presentations were in the eyes of the world”
He continued: “In early 2020, internal elections were held for the nomination of candidates for the Maramureş City Council and the Baia Mare City Council. Presentations were organized within the organization, attended by those who wanted to be candidates. I moderated those presentations, which were broadcast online in member groups.
Some of the candidates developed complex programs, which showed their vision of transforming the municipality and the province. The same people wanted the presentations to be public, so that voters could see them too. This was not wanted. Then I realized that those presentations were in the eyes of the world, they did not count in the vote. Through a practice already extended in the national RSU, it was voted with lists “.
“Secret lists by which certain candidates were favored”
Discontent was also manifested: “Secret lists, by which certain candidates were favored and by which the opportunities of others were reduced. Thus, those with the most elaborate and complex candidacy programs were, after the vote, in ineligible places. Immediately after the election, I wrote a public message accusing the vote of being wrong and immoral. So did other members, the so-called opposition. Those involved vehemently denied the existence of the lists, although there were photos of voters casting their eyes on the phone.
The existence of these lists was confirmed to me recently, when a person from the old group of lists asked me to vote for a list. This, on the occasion of the vote of the delegates who were going to choose the candidates in the parliamentary elections. It was an incredible situation, I never imagined that there would be so much courage on the part of some. Or so much despair.
After the elections at the beginning of the year, the opposition was marginalized. Some members chose to leave the party. Others stayed, hoping that the course of the game could change. “

Anca Goja also stated that: “But it was worse. Before the vote of the parliamentary delegates, the party leaders divided into two camps. Both with the same bad grips. One of the camps forged documents and changed receipts. The bylaws clearly stated that only members who had paid their dues by the end of September could vote. Those who paid in October could not vote. As a result, some have visibly changed receipts. Without a doubt, this is a crime.
