UPDATE: ASSMB Reaction: The medical director of the Colentina Clinical Hospital, Prof. Dr. Sabina Zurac, resigned on Friday, citing personal reasons, informs the Administration of Medical Services and Hospitals of Bucharest (ASSMB).
“After the appearance in the public space of unverified information on the management of the Colentina Clinical Hospital, administered by the City Council of the Capital, through the Administration of Medical Services and Hospitals of Bucharest (ASSMB), we consider it necessary to make the following clarifications : Manager of the Colentina Clinical Hospital, Dr. Remus Mihalcea, has not resigned from his position and continues to exercise, normally, the powers provided by law.
We also specify that the medical director of the Colentina Clinical Hospital, Prof. Dr. Sabina Zurac, resigned on Friday, October 16, citing personal reasons, “according to a statement from the ASSMB.

Sources from the Colentina Hospital assure that there are more doctors who want to resign.
The prefect of the Capital, George Cojanu, announced on Sunday night that the Colentina hospital will become a COVID hospital this Monday, given that Bucharest no longer has places for patients with coronavirus.
“In Bucharest, there are no more places in ATI. This is a serious problem. Tomorrow, the Colentina hospital will enter fully for the treatment of Covid patients, there will be 3-400 places,” George Cojanu told Digi24.
