The Bucharest Gendarmerie transmitted, on Thursday, in relation to the images in which people appear in the room where the votes were stored, which was opened at the request of the president of the Electoral Office of Sector 1 and a report was prepared in every occasion.

“The room where the electoral materials are kept was opened at the request of the president of the electoral office, each time the gendarme prepared a delivery report on receipt of the respective room. We specify that access to the respective room is allowed only with the consent of the president of the sectorial electoral office, and the seal is taken as protection after sealing ”, transmitted the General Directorate of Gendarmes of Bucharest.

According to the aforementioned statement, the activities carried out inside the room are not the responsibility of the Gendarmerie, as long as the authorized persons carry out activities related to the electoral process.

The room where the electoral materials are stored has a permanent protection post, according to the cited source, and access in the respective area is restricted as long as it is sealed and allowed only to those who have this right.

Under these conditions, the leader of the PSD, Marcel Ciolacu, demands the resumption of the vote and the resignation of the Minister of the Interior, Marcel Vela.

“It is incredible in 30 years of democracy that the Gendarmerie and the Police do something like that. Today they should resign and the Public Ministry should be notified and start gathering evidence. Anyway, we also realize it,” said Ciolacu, on Antena 3.

Gabriela Firea also says that the elections in the Capital were rigged. “I put forward some arguments in support of the idea that the elections were rigged in Bucharest. Perhaps in other areas of the country as well, ”said Firea.

After the appearance of the images in public space, the police officers of the Bucharest General Police Directorate – Sector 1 – Section no. 4, under the coordination of the prosecutors of the Public Prosecutor’s Office attached to the District Court 1, the verifications began to establish the factual situation.

On the night from Wednesday to Thursday, dozens of people went to the Electoral Bureau of Sector 1 and protested. People also demanded that voting be resumed. The protesters chanted “Vote stolen, canceled.”
