Unprecedented number of COVID deaths in Romania: 177 people died. More than 7,300 new cases in the last 24 hours News, News Romania | Freedom

Since the start of the pandemic until today, 8,186 people diagnosed with COVID-19 have died. Of these, 177 lost their lives in the last 24 hours alone. There are 92 men and 85 women.

There were three deaths in the age group 30 to 39 years, 6 deaths in the age group 40 to 49 years, 12 deaths in the age group 50 to 59 years, 47 deaths in the age category 60 to 69 years, 67 deaths in the age group 70 to 79 years and 42 deaths in the category over 80 years.

Of the deceased patients, 160 had comorbidities, while in the case of the other 17 no other conditions were reported.

Currently, 12,727 people are hospitalized in the country’s COVID departments. Of these, 1,093 patients are in serious condition in the Intensive Care Units.

Four regions with a contagion rate of more than 6 per thousand inhabitants

To date, on November 10, in Romania, 314,295 cases of new coronavirus infection have been confirmed. Of these, 7,304 were reported only in the last 24 hours, resulting from the processing of 31,005 tests.

Apart from the recently confirmed cases, after retesting patients who were already positive, 1,682 people were positively reconfirmed. The county distribution of these cases can be found in the following table.

Most of the new cases were registered in Bucharest (845), followed by the capital by the counties of Cluj (423) and Olt (367).

Furthermore, six counties have an infection rate of more than 6 people per thousand inhabitants. These are Sibiu (6.89), Cluj (6.56), Sălaj (6.47) and Timiș (6.38). In Bucharest, the incidence of infections is 5.11 people per thousand inhabitants.
