The 10,000 doses of vaccine that entered the country on Friday will be stored in a first phase in the National Vaccine Storage Center of the Cantacuzino Institute, from where they will go to the country’s regional vaccine centers. Janina Varodin, a pharmacist at the Cantacuzino Institute, explained the procedure for transporting and storing the vaccine.

The first doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine are expected to arrive at the Cantacuzino Institute on Saturday morning, where they will be stored under special conditions, before moving to the country’s regional vaccination centers.

“The vaccine will be stored in our freezers at very low temperatures of -75 degrees. Following this process, you will follow the delivery process to the regional centers of the country. Transportation will be carried out by structures within the Ministry of National Defense, under conditions controlled by temperature and maximum security, ”said Janina Varodin, a pharmacist at the Cantacuzino Institute.

She also stated that she will be vaccinated and that she sees this as the only way to end the pandemic and return to normal life.

“We are in a critical period and it is the only way to get out of this pandemic and return to a normal life,” said Janina Varodin.

The first symbolic installment of vaccines will be followed by a second, until the end of the year, when another 150,000 doses of vaccine are expected.
