Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu wrote on Twitter, after the incident involving referee Sebastian Coltescu, that racism is a crime against humanity.

“We support the position of the Basaksehir football club against racism, which is a crime against humanity,” he wrote.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan also reacted on social media after Sebastian Coltescu was accused of racism in the PSG – Istanbul BB match.

“Our representative strongly condemns the racist comments made against Pierre Webo, one of Basaksehir’s technical staff, and I believe that UEFA will take the necessary action.
