Returning to Brighton earlier this season, after being loaned out to Ado den Haag the previous season, the defensive midfielder did not make his place in the first team, so he is evolving, at least for the moment, for the Brighton under23 team.

The Romanian was used from the first minute, as a central defender, in the match with Chelsea U23 on the 3rd matchday of Premier League 2 and scored the only goal of the first half. In the 6th minute, Băluță intercepted the ball in the middle of the field, advanced a few meters into the opposite half and launched Karlo Ziger, the London goalkeeper, from about 40 meters! The Croatian in the Chelsea goal was out of place.
Băluță was replaced at half-time, replaced by Tsoungui. This is only the second game of the Tudor season. The Romanian caught another 45 minutes in Brighton U23’s defeat in the English League Cup, 0-2 at AFC Wimbledon. And then he was also used as a central defender.
