The Năsăud court validated on Thursday the new mayoral mandate won by Traian Ogâgău on September 27 and rejected the requests for annulment made by Deputy Mayor Virgil Dumitru and by PSD Bistriţa-Năsăud. The court’s decision can be appealed within two days, according to Bistrițeanul.

Traian Ogâgău was removed from the post of mayor on Wednesday, October 14, following the final conviction in a criminal case. The revocation took place in the last days of the old legislature and, after only one day of “suspension”, it was validated for the new legislature, obtained after the victory in the elections of September 27.

Prefect Stelian Dolha confirmed for Digi24.ro who received on Wednesday the report of the secretary of the Sângeorz-Băi City Council, regarding the definitive sentence of the mayor.
