Two Timiș husbands who say that they are in fact Thracian and lived their lives according to the customs of ancient people, lost their children, who were taken into custody by the state as a result of a court ruling.

Child protection intervened following numerous complaints from neighbors who said that the couple’s two children were not cared for and were put to sleep in a tent, although it was very cold.

On Thursday, Child Protection employees moved to the town near Lugoj to take the children, but the operation turned into an incredible circus, requiring the intervention of the gendarmes.

Those from the Child Protection Directorate first presented the parents with the court’s decision that the children were left out of their care. The children’s father did not even want to know about this and began to threaten the gendarmes, after which he barricaded himself in the house with the little ones.

Law enforcement officials broke down a door, entered the house and used tear gas to calm him, according to lugojinfo.ro.

Finally, after an intervention that lasted more than two hours, the authorities took care of the children and they will most likely end up in the care of foster caregivers.

The children’s parents returned from Denmark last year, “at home in Thrace.”

The two spouses were also in the attention of the authorities last year, when they returned to the country. Upon arriving at the Nădlac 2 border crossing, they told the Hungarian police that they were Thracian and were returning to the country where they were born, refusing to present the documents.

After barricading themselves with the three children in the car on which they wrote “THRACIA”, the Hungarian border police enlisted the help of their Romanian colleagues. They managed to open the car and immobilized the 35-year-old man.

After checking the databases, the police discovered that the five people were returning from Denmark and the Romanian documents showed their address in Timiș county.

The five were detained for 24 hours by the Hungarian authorities for further verification because they could not present any identity documents of their own or the car, the adults only show some worthless maps that cannot replace valid identity documents. In the end, they reached Romania.

At the end of last year, the family baby of only a few months died at the Louis Țurcanu Hospital in Timișoara, after being picked up by helicopter from Făget. Later, the police opened an investigation to determine the cause of the baby’s death. Police suspected that the boy had been ill for several days and his parents refused to seek medical help.
