The weather is bad: rain, sleet and strong wind in most of the country / Yellow code of blizzards in high mountain areas – A must

Meteorologists have issued a yellow code for the intensification of winds and blizzards in the upper area, valid on Friday between 02:00 and 20:00 in the area of ​​the South and East Carpathians.

In the mentioned interval in the northern half of the Eastern Carpathians and in the upper southern Carpathians there will be temporary precipitation predominantly in the form of snow and a layer of snow will be deposited. During Saturday (October 31), at more than 1700 m, especially in the western groups of the South Carpathians, there will be gusts exceeding 100… 110 km / h, with a snow blizzard.

Likewise, the NMA issued a meteorological report of intensification of winds, moderate quantitative rains and mixed precipitation in the mountainous area, valid in most of the country from Friday 1:00 p.m. to Saturday 4:00 p.m.

In the north, center, east and southeast of the country it will rain temporarily, and in the mountains and possibly in the subcarpathies of Moldova and in the depressions of eastern Transylvania there will be mixed rains. At the local level the amounts of water will exceed 15 … 20 l / m2 and isolated 30 l / m2.

The wind will intensify, during Fridays and Saturdays especially in the southwest, and on Sunday (November 1) in the east and southeast in general with speeds of 50 … 60 km / h. In the mountain area the gusts will temporarily exceed 60 …. 80 km / h.
