Prosecutors and police officers from DIICOT from the Directorate for the Fight against Organized Crime (DCCO) carried out two raids this morning at the homes of the 50-year-old man and his accomplice.

The investigation that prosecutors opened after receiving information about the torment the girl was going through led to some unrealistic discoveries.

“The investigation has shown that the 2 people allegedly took steps between November 2019 and April 2020 to recruit a girl under 16 years of age in order to force her to prostitute herself and to pornography for their benefit.

To do this, a 50-year-old man, taking advantage of the minor’s economic and family situation, allegedly deceived her, promising to give her and her mother a life free of material concerns.

Initially, to gain the trust of the minor, the person in question would have presented himself as a businessman with relationships between well-known people in the Romanian show business and would have offered to offer him a job in one of the companies that he runs them, in addition to renting him an apartment where he can live with his mother in decent conditions.

All these favors from the man had, in fact, the objective of obtaining the consent of the victim to have sexual relations with him and, later, to prostitute themselves for financial gain.

He too, with the support of a woman, taking advantage of the state of addiction that would have induced in the minor, had decided to take photos and videos, in which she had an explicit sexual behavior, which later – would have stored in computer systems and other computer data storage media and would have distributed it through mobile Internet applications.

The 2 suspects allegedly created an imaginary character, who would have contacted the minor online to propose the maintenance of sexual relations for a fee and which would later have become a way of blackmailing her, through his being. He sent several threatening messages.

In reality, the man would have tried in this way to ensure that the minor would not attempt to provide any sexual services without his consent.

Later, to determine her state of obvious fear, the man informed her that she had killed the person who tried to blackmail her, thus making the minor her “accomplice” in committing the murder.

The minor did not specify to her mother the origin of the money destined to pay the rent of the apartment where they were going to live, and told her that it came from makeup activities she carried out.

Subsequently, the man, in order to deceive the Judiciary about the seriousness of the events, allegedly filed a criminal complaint against the minor and his mother, knowing that the events are not real, and in reality the purpose of recovering the mobile phone of the victim, to whom he would have given it as a gift, but on whom incriminating evidence had been kept.

With the notification and later during the criminal trial, the man allegedly presented false and untrue evidence before the judicial bodies.

Specifically, he allegedly falsified, truncated the content of the conversations (text messages) he had with the victim, to support the false complaint, and allegedly fabricated unrealistic evidence, cleverly inventing the circumstance that the people around the minor have knowledge of the existence of a criminal complaint that he filed against the injured person.

As a result of the searches, 5 mobile phones, 1 laptop, 1 tablet, 1 memory stick, 7 SIM cards and documents with evidentiary value in question were identified and no longer available, as well as two watches worth approximately £ 20,000.
