TAROM flight emergency landing Antalya – Timisoara at Otopeni airport was caused by the failure of the plane’s weather radar, says one of the passengers on board. Mircea Opriș, who works in the aviation field, told Digi24 what happened.
The passenger stated on Saturday, on Digi24, that he initially thought the plane was turning to register on the route to Timișoara, the final destination, but in fact the plane took him to Bucharest, where he landed urgently.
Mircea Opriș, who works in the aviation field, claims that the pilots’ decision was determined by the failure of the aircraft’s meteorological radar (initially there was information about the failure of the air conditioning system and the overheating of the passenger cabin) .
He specified that there were no incidents on board, the passengers remained calm and the landing was made without incident.
At the airport, the 187 passengers were served water, coffee and snacks and told they would be picked up by another plane overnight, the passenger said.
