The top of the Romanian Police ordered, this Tuesday, controls on the escorted way to Vasile Lavric, nicknamed in the press as “the devouring woman”, from the Central Detention Center to the General Prosecutor’s Office, according to a statement from the institution. G4Media.ro
The investigations were ordered after images appeared in the public space that captured the police while they took Lavric, handcuffed, by mistake, to the Ministry of the Environment instead of the General Prosecutor’s Office, with the two institutions located in the vicinity.
According to some judicial sources, the policemen who took the person to the hearings are newly hired and have confused the headquarters of the two institutions.
„These institutions operate in the same building, with different access routes. The bodyguard who conducted the interrogation of the person deprived of liberty, by mistake, chose another route of access. At no time was the escort mission in danger ”, is shown in a police statement.
