President Klaus Iohannis promulgated the law that stipulates that road vehicles traveling at a maximum speed of 25 km / h must be registered and registered by the Romanian Automobile Register (RAR), Mediafax reports.
The law stipulates that road vehicles traveling at a maximum speed of 25 km / h must be registered and registered by the Autonomous Administration “Romanian Automobile Registration”.
The only exceptions are those registered in another EU Member State, as well as forestry tractors and those purchased with non-refundable funds.
„The present legislative proposal aims to amend and complement Government Ordinance no. 78/2002 on the homologation, issuance of identity card and certification of authenticity of road vehicles for sale, registration or registration in Romania, in the sense of introducing a new category of vehicles, namely slow vehicles, to be registered and registered by the Autonomous Administration “Romanian Automobile Registry”, currently does not foresee in the national legislation a permissive procedure as in the case of other EU member states “, said the senator of the UDMR Cseke Attila, the initiator of the project, in the explanatory memorandum of the bill.
The UDMR deputy explained that the category of slow road vehicles includes a wide range of vehicles, which offer ecological solutions, as well as advanced transport solutions with electric vehicles, in order to reduce CO₂ pollution, according to the cited source. .
“They are easy to use and can serve both companies and individuals to transport goods and people within cities, in the industrial zone or in the mountains. These vehicles are registered and used in several EU countries, and are used in accordance with precise rules on public roads, such as speed limits of up to 25 km / h. European countries such as Austria, Slovakia, Germany, Malta, Slovenia, Croatia, Poland, the Netherlands have found their own legislative solution to put these vehicles into circulation, even under the name of “slow vehicle”, thus reducing pollution, because short distances use the aforementioned vehicles “, concluded the initiator of the bill, in the explanatory memorandum.
